 Saturday July 19-Saturday July 26


Saturday July 19th - Leave Iola

   8:00AM leave OSLC parkng lot

   (Eat breakfast at home before leaving)

   Lunch in Superior?

   4:30PM - arrive ie Ely

   Check into campground

   Shop and eat in Ely

   Stay overnight in bunkhouses


Sunday, July 20 - Boundary Waters

   6:00AM - Eat quick breakfast at campground

   Get boat tow from LaTourell's

   Check in at Ranger Station

   Canoe to Sunday Lake



   Enjoy God's Creation


Friday July 25th - Leave Boundary Waters

   Morning - Pack and leave camp

   Afternoon - Arrive at campground/Shower

   Evening - Blueberry Festival and Dinner in Ely


Satuday July 26th - Head Home

   8:00AM - quick breakfast in Ely

   Lunch in ?

   Evening - arrive back at OSLC

   (will call for ride home)

Students have been divided into 5 groups to assist with worship and be responsible for the light supper following confirmation classes. Below are the groups and dates each group is responsible for. The biggest influence in a child’s faith life is the parents. Our Savior’s Youth Ministries wills strive to empower parents to be all they can be in this capacity. 
The congregation of Our Savior’s Lutheran recognizes the importance of our youth and strives to provide an environment that is nourishing and helps our young people to grow in faith.  We do this through:
·    Providing Christian education
·    Healthy adult role models
·    Opportunities to volunteer and share of their time and talents within our faith community
·    Service to members of our own community as well as mission opportunities beyond Iola and the surrounding area
·    Providing a structured and safe environment to explore and nurture their faith
Recognizing the need to place special emphasis on our youth, Our Savior’s has created the position of Youth Coordinator to help in the development of our young people.  Some youth activities include:

Boundary Waters Canoe trip - summer
Girl’s Retreat - January
Boy’s (Father/Son?) Retreat
Worship enhancements: music, skits, dance
Lifest – 4 day Christian music festival, Oshkosh, July
Power of One – largest one day Christian rock concert in the Midwest, Appleton, October

Mentoring - Lent

Fellowship Activities:
SPAMs (Soda, Pizza and Movie Nights)
Chat & Chill @ the coffee shop
